02Geography trip to Tongariro National Park – Tuesday the 1st of May to Friday the 4th of May
59 level 2 Geography students spent 4 glorious days at Tongariro National Park in week 1 of term 2 collecting data for a 5 credit internal assessment. 37 of the bravest students also completed the 19.4km Tongariro Crossing – one of New Zealand’s ‘Great Walks’. There was no blood – but there was bucket loads of sweat and even some tears shed. Whanaungatanga and resilience meant that everyone made it over in one piece with encouragement from Mr Silk, Ms Walton, Mr Sialepata, Ms Tejani and the ever positive Ms Eggles. We were blessed with beautiful weather, great food and a bunch of students who represented our school with pride
