Congratulations to Year 9 students Nikita Aubrey Wihongi and Jay-Arr Ancha, whose artwork has won a council competition and substantial prize money.
The competition was run through the itsnoon creative incubator and aimed to help inform the planning for Manukau over the next 20 years.
Young Aucklanders were encouargaed to respond creatively to the question: what is the face of Manukau?
As a result of their success, Nikita and JayArr's work was displayed at the Manukau Westfield and they received $500 in prize money. Their work could also feature in documents to promote Manukau’s transformation or help inspire the design of buildings and spaces.
