Ethnic Cuisine Competition Winner

The competition was one of the feature events of Eye On Nature, a free community event run by the Manukau Beautification Charitable Trust on Saturday 23rd March at Aucklands Botanical Gardens. Contestants from six different schools pitted their ethnic vegetarian skills against each other.  Their efforts were judged by chef Mikey Newlands, of Bracu Restaurant.

Kajals Cambodian dish Braised Portobello Mushrooms with Puffed Vermicelli won top honours, with Kajal winning $1,000 for her school.
