Strike Action
We have been advised by the Post Primary Teachers Association (PPTA) that due to failed negotiations with the government, there will be rolling strikes in the final week of term. Students will remain at home on the following days:
- Monday 15 Sept – Year 12 and 13
- Tuesday 16 Sept – Year 11
- Wednesday 17 Sept – Year 10
- Thursday 18 Sept – Year 9
On Wednesday and Thursday, students under 14 who cannot stay home can come to school and will be supervised by non-union teaching staff in Te Pae Tata; no regular timetable will operate; school lunch will be provided to them. If your child needs to come into school on Thursday, please let us know by contacting the school office on 09 269 0690 or [email protected] All other students should continue learning from home on their rostered day, working on their Hybrid Learning Guides.
Offsite Trades & Gateway Programmes will continue as per normal on the rostered strike days.
