Our experience at Turangawaewae Marae was an awesome way to begin the year. We spent the day learning about Mahinarangi and Kingitanga. We learned how to make beds and set tables for manuhiri. We marvelled at the great carving that tells the story of brothers Whatihua and Turongo. We paddled the Waikato River. All of this helped us to appreciate our kawenata agreement with Waikato Tainui, and inspired us for the year ahead. #learning#anytime #anyplace #anyspace
