We are seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate Commerce teacher to join our collaborative and future-focused Commerce Learning Area. Beginning teachers are also welcome to apply.

The successful applicant will have a subject specialism within the Commerce Learning Area and be fully capable of teaching Accounting, Business Studies and/or Economics across Years 10–13.

The successful applicant will be:

  • Passionate about Commerce education and able to inspire students through engaging, relevant and future-focused learning.
  • An effective classroom practitioner with strong classroom management skills and the ability to create purposeful, positive and inclusive learning environments.
  • Skilled in responding to the needs of diverse learners
  • Experienced in, or willing to contribute to, the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) and other authentic enterprise opportunities.
  • Willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including our Kaitiaki mentoring programme and Learning Area initiatives.

Please state your Commerce subject specialism and experience with Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and/or the YES programme.

For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement.  The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicants qualifications and experience.  Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed
