Accounts Administrator (Full time, permanent)

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our school finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting administration experience who enjoys working in a busy school environment and managing a high volume of transactions.

Our school processes high-volume invoices per month, so accuracy, efficiency, and strong organisational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero
  • Process and reconcile student payments in KAMAR
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting
  • Communicate with suppliers, staff, and parents regarding payments and queries
  • Support the finance team with general administrative and finance duties

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable or accounting administration
  • Experience using Xero accounting software
  • Experience working with KAMAR student management system (preferred)
  • Ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Office skills
  • Experience working in a school or education environment would be an advantage
